<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the post that I've written so many times in my head over the past few months. I have blogged off and on here for the past 13 years!! My life has changed so much since then. I've learned that often time beginnings are scary and endings are sad. But so far I have survived every single one of them!! There is so much uncertainty these days. And there are SO MANY THINGS I have ZERO control over. I have learned there are basically two things I can control: 1. MY attitude and 2. MY effort. And so this is what I have decided to focus on. I can choose to be positive no matter what my surroundings look like, and I can choose to work hard no matter what life deals me! If you know anything about me, you know I love music. I love listening and finding new songs. I love sharing songs with my people. And I love love love good lyrics! Many things that I quote often come from song lyrics. <br />
<br />
Good vibes. Open up the champagne...pop. Ain't nothing gonna break my stride. Life is short and love is rare....we all deserve to be happy while we're here. The house don't fall when the bones are good. Breathe in...breathe out...move on. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Nothing's gonna stop us. Always be sure to count your blessings. Everything's gonna be alright. There's a song for everything (and yes that is a song lyric)!!!! Maybe I need to start a new blog all about songs I love...or maybe not. <br />
<br />
I think the point I'm trying to make is that it's time for me to hang up my blogging hat. There are so many other social media platforms that take up enough of my time, and blogging is not one of the ones I am passionate about anymore. So if you need to get your "Denise fix", you are welcome to <strike>stalk</strike> find me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat!!<br />
<br />
So to quote the song <i>Closing Time</i>..... "you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here".....<br />
Denise out!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Sometimes I feel like every minute of my life is a struggle. Then life gets a little "better" and it's smooth sailing for a quick minute. Then I'm back driving the struggle bus through the ruts of life. This seems to be a common theme in my life and in the lives of those around me. Friends, family, coworkers, even my cashier at the Walmart all have struggles. <i>The Struggle is Real</i>.....just like the book title says!!!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Nicole Unice is a new-to-me author although she has written a few other books. Her new book is a great read for anyone who struggles with little or big things in life...so basically this book is for EVERYONE!!!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">My tolerance for idiots is completely low today. I used to have some immunity built up, but obviously there's a new strain out!!</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">No, I don't really rise and shine. Most days, I just caffeinate and hope for the best....</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I want buns of steel, but I also want cinnamon buns!!</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">These are just a few things Nicole struggles with first thing in the morning. And I can totally relate :) If you are looking for a great book that is relatable in several areas of your life, I totally recommend reading this!!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Wow. Just wow. I love this book so much. I have seen Rory and Joey in person at a Zac Brown concert. A few years later I learned about her illness. She has Indiana roots, so there were stories about her life in the local news. Their daughter Indy is so precious, and I've enjoyed seeing updates on Instagram when Rory will post a picture or story. Lots of good stuff! His new book has lots of stories about the past and present. Things he has lived through and the lessons he has learned or lessons he is till trying to learn. One thing I've learned that is that things are always changing. Surprises, good or bad, are just one breath away.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">"Ain't that how life is? It's never really easy. It takes twists and turns and goes in directions you don't want it to go. You're hoping for smooth sailing today, and the wind suddenly kicks up and spins your boat around in a completely different direction. And all you can so is hang on and try not to capsize.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It used to disappoint me that life couldn't be simpler. But I've learned to embrace it. To do more than embrace it. To love that life is that way. That the crazy ride is what life actually is, when it is at its best."</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">It's Summer Reading Club time at my local library, so I'm trying my best to read lots of books. I was excited to read this book by new-to-me author, Catherine West. This is a book about marriage, infidelity, divorce, suicide, death, and lots of other topics! There is definitely a fairy-tale happy ending. Which if that's your style, you'll really enjoy this book. Sometimes fairy-tale endings don't happen in real life, but reading a book like this can be a good escape.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">"For all our efforts, somehow we sensed the task was beyond us. The real gift was the challenge of our faith. The challenge to see past the improbable likelihood of anything growing in here again. To push aside what the world would deem impossible and hold out for a miracle." This is one of my favorite quotes from the book. The main character is definitely holding out for a miracle, and although it isn't the answer she was hoping for, it's the best answer for her life. Everyone wants the best answer in their own life!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I am so excited to share this new-to-me author. After living in Colorado for five years, I still have strong feelings for that state. This book is set in Colorado and many places she mentions are still familiar to me!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I am also a mom of boys at this stage in my life. And reading a book about a family of girls definitely gives me a different perspective. I love my boys, but sometimes I need an escape from the craziness. So reading about a family with multiple girls is just that! We are introduced to several sisters and learn about their past, their pain, a cancer scare, and all the family drama that ensues. There is also lots of talk about volleyball, so if you're a sports family, you can totally relate to this aspect of life. I will definitely look forward to the next book in this series and see how life is going for these girls!!</span></div>

I'm always looking for good stories, lessons, and just downright good advice, yet often don't know where to turn. A book as good as this need to be passed on to your friend, neighbor, or co-worker who can also glean good relationship information. This would also make a great addition to a wedding shower gift! Something any newlywed can relate to is awesome! After reading this book, you'll remember all the good, bad, and ugly things that brought you to the exact place you are today...and hopefully married....happily ever after.... Love. True Love.</span></b><br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqtP6sqL6hNN-tFLVgqIzqygeFi03bzvFgfEcr_Kf8EIhikA4zN9bc7Zf_kAbGXCY4DukiFvbsn9n_tJTNVaUrgEtKO0Y4giMkQfaeAfrrtolgfnHxSCYtHk0ovPEYlrTEv0FZCNQT4b0/s1600/bible.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="253" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqtP6sqL6hNN-tFLVgqIzqygeFi03bzvFgfEcr_Kf8EIhikA4zN9bc7Zf_kAbGXCY4DukiFvbsn9n_tJTNVaUrgEtKO0Y4giMkQfaeAfrrtolgfnHxSCYtHk0ovPEYlrTEv0FZCNQT4b0/s320/bible.jpg" width="202" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I love to read. Reading is my passion. And I really don't understand when people say they don't like to read or don't have time to read. What the what?!? Now I'm going to be completely honest here and tell everyone that I have three boys who hate to read. Yes it's true. And yes it makes my heart just a little sad. But I'll get over it.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">That being said, anytime I can find a "boy" book that is not cheesy or tacky, I will literally snatch it up in hopes that one of my boys will at least glance at it. The new NIRV bible <i>May The Faith Be With You </i>is a perfect example of this. Geared to the <i>Star Wars</i> fan (my boys for sure!) this would be a great Bible for lots of people I know. I really don't think it is age dependent, because I know lots of adult Star Wars fans. My boys are 12 and 16, and we have enjoyed reading Bible stories. There are also sections throughout that are relevant to them today. We definitely have enjoyed this New International Reader's Version together!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I've heard it said multiple times that life is a journey. It's a journey of highs and lows, ups and downs, happy, and sad, good and bad. There are seasons of plenty and seasons that leave you downright exhausted. As a believer in Jesus, there is always the firm foundation of the Bible to go back to and reference. Sometimes I forget about this solid ground and try to get through life all by myself. But this is never the case for Christians. I am thankful for books like <i>Hind's Feet on High Places</i> to remind me of the fact that I need to rely on God. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The original book was printed in 1975, and I know my mom owned a copy of it back in the day. This new updated book is part story and part journal with beautiful artwork throughout. It also includes focal scripture verses that can be colored. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">"The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places." Habakkuk 3:19</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', sans-serif;">I am always looking for good book to read to my kids. We are by no means a "traditional family". My husband had a 6 year old daughter from a previous marriage, when I met him. After we were married, I had one biological son. Then after years of trying to have more children, we adopted twins! So the way our family was formed is very different. Just like every family. Just because we are different, doesn't mean we are loved any less by the creator of us all! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">This book about celebrating differences is great for any kid no matter what kind of situation they are in. I think the more our kids are exposed to these ideas, the cliches and stigmas are lessened. I want my kids to LOVE no matter what. Love wins every time!!</span></div>

It is a perfect mix of scripture, inspirational quotes, places to journal, and pictures to color. What a great combination for your quiet time in the morning before the kids get up, or in the evening when the chaos of the day is over. I am always on the lookout for different ways to journal and this would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys writing and coloring! </span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 20px;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="color: #333333;"><span style="line-height: 20px;">There are scripture verses quoted, prayers to reflect on and use, unique pictures to color, lots of journaling space. I think this would be perfect for a new college student to pack and take with her away from home. This is also great for busy moms who may have just a few minutes during the day for this type of activity!</span></span></span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">This is the cutest Bible specifically for girls that I have ever seen, I love the turquoise color of the cover and the elastic band that keeps it closed (no more wrinkled or bent Bible pages!) As a girl who went to church her entire life (~42 years), I wish this Bible was around when I was a youngster. This specific Bible is the journal style which has become very popular. Add a package of color pencils and it's a perfect gift for any girl!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">Each page has a section on the side margin that is lined (like notebook paper) It is here you can draw, write, doodle, journal, or write prayers. This is an awesome feature for anyone who wants to strengthen their relationship with their Heavenly Father. The NIV version is a popular one at our church. I cannot find a little girl to give this to! </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have followed Edie's blog {Life in Grace} for many years. I was very excited when she announced she would be writing a book. It ended up taking much longer for her to write the book than she anticipated. (I think she did a total of three re-writes) I cannot imagine the struggle she went through with the words on these pages. She is definitely an inspiration to anyone on a spiritual journey of their own. Whether you are a new believer, a non-believer, or a believer since the day you were born, her words will resonate with you.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">After being raised by a single mother and an alcoholic father (who was in and out of her life), she was determined to rise above her past. Her hard work and determination paid off for her when she "mad doctor" like her daddy always said she would. Her choices caused pain and worry for herself and her children. Then when her home burned down, there was God with a whole new lesson for her to learn. (I have vivid memories of my grandparents home burning down in the '80s...this is something I will never forget) Her book is one to read again and again, then let a good friend borrow it (as long as she promises to give it back)</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I have been following the Whole 30 food eating plan for almost 2 years now!! I seriously think it is the best way for me to eat. When I am really strict and follow the guidelines, I do really well and have almost zero cravings for junk/processed foods. But when I let myself eat crap, I quickly want to eat more crap, then I feel like crap....it's a vicious cycle that one day I hope to totally break!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Until then....I'm always looking for Whole 30 approved recipes that my whole family (not just me) will eat! My three boys and my husband do not follow any specific diet, but I do want to cook them decent meals when I have the time to actually cook. So I was glad to get this new cookbook <i>nourishing meals </i>by Alissa Segersten and Tom Malterre. If you are looking for diet-specific recipes such as gluten-free, dairy-free, or soy-free, this cookbook is for you! There are 484 pages of recipes and photos to entice your little ones to eat. My favorite thing to do is to give each of my kids post-it notes and have them tag recipes they want to try. Then once a week I will cook a new (kid-picked) recipe. Sometimes it's a winner, and sometimes we will never make it again, but it gives the kids some ownership at the dinner table. Enjoy!!!!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">We are a pretty big sports family. My husband grew up swimming competitively in jr. high and high school. My oldest son plays basketball pretty much year round between high school and another league. Then my twins play travel soccer and basketball throughout the year. So needless to say we are always going to practice, a game, tournaments, or watching sports on television.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">If you ever want to increase your sports knowledge, this book is for you! <i>The Field Guide to Sports Metaphors </i>is a great education tool. You can impress other parents on the sidelines with the facts you can learn from this book. You can also help your kids be smarter about the sport they are playing. The book covers team and individual sports, so all the bases (pardon the pun) are covered! So the next time you feel like you want to "throw in the towel" or "bring your A game", you'll know exactly what you are talking about!</span></div>

Have you ever read a book and felt like you wanted to meet the characters? That is exactly how I felt after finishing this book. I wanted to hand out with the Darling family at one of their weekly family dinners. I felt like I would be welcomed with open arms and would fit right in. This book includes family problems, illness, and lots of forgiveness. This book does not have a fairy tale ending, but what real life family does? One of my favorite parts was when the mom was talking about grief...."Maybe that was the worst of it: unpredictability. There was no way of knowing when it would strike, or when it would release you to happiness. It was a cruel and arbitrary thing. No, there was nothing linear about grief at all."</div>

<span style="font-family: "cambria"; font-size: 11.000000pt;">I suppose it does in this way: I see such a panorama of human suffering and triumph. Not
just physically, but all day long, I brush up against dysfunctional families, failing marriages,
</span><span style="font-family: "cambria"; font-size: 11.000000pt;">people bewildered by life; struggling to live life on life’s terms the </span><span style="font-family: "cambria"; font-size: 11.000000pt;">best they can manage. But
I also see wonderful things: marriages that have thrived for decades; sweet, sacrificial love;
</span><span style="font-family: "cambria"; font-size: 11.000000pt;">bravery and kindness and wisdom in my patients. Not a day goes by that I don’t learn
something new from someone I take care of. It’s a</span><span style="font-family: "cambria"; font-size: 11.000000pt;">ll grist for the mill, fodder for stories.
</span><span style="font-family: "cambria"; font-size: 11.000000pt;">There is a character or two in each of my books based on patients I’ve had. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">I really enjoy books about moms and daughters, so I was very excited to read this book by Kimberly Williams-Paisley. You may recognize her from her <i>Father of the Bride </i>fame, or the fact that she is married to Brad Paisley, or if you were a <i>Nashville </i>television show fan like me, she had a small recurring role for a while. Now she is an author of this wonderful memoir about her life and her mom who was diagnosed with an early onset dementia called Primary Progressive Aphasia (or PPA).</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">This book is full of stories of Kimberly growing up, her parents, siblings, and a mix of good and bad things that happened to her. One of my favorite parts included Kimberly talking about seeing her therapist...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">"Everybody I've ever met has had some sort of issue with one or both of their parents. It's what keeps therapists employed.... Karen and I didn't harp too much on the past. We talked a lot about moving forward. Turn anger into compassion, and fear into faith, she told me... For a long time, it was my mantra."</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEGrIMPJshL3w5wgHU45bDvbn1hzaWGf9hVRA20SLKvh_jsqXBwr7TwEjC360BPxa0Y2iNVx46IRijT2P0H1T-ZUptD2U744unzv6S3J0nPMfBN7CmR0Vwzn8qDnQjxNtOIaM9ZRvuq2g/s1600/light.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEGrIMPJshL3w5wgHU45bDvbn1hzaWGf9hVRA20SLKvh_jsqXBwr7TwEjC360BPxa0Y2iNVx46IRijT2P0H1T-ZUptD2U744unzv6S3J0nPMfBN7CmR0Vwzn8qDnQjxNtOIaM9ZRvuq2g/s320/light.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">I do not believe a perfect child/parent relationship exists. All relationships are hard especially when feelings, emotions, and actions are put into play. I thoroughly enjoyed reading how Kimberly has started to come to terms with her mother's diagnosis. She is a better daughter, wife, mom, and friend with all she has learned through this. I am thankful she wrote this book and will definitely pass in along to friends whose parents are diagnosed with any illness.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">This is by far the cutest Bible Storybook I have seen! This is going to be added to every baby shower gift I give in the future. There are 20 Bible stories in this book along with a promise from God with each one. I love the simple words that a child can understand along with promises that I need to hear as an adult. I look forward to reading this to my grandkids when they come visit me!! I love to read about Jesus Calling to me!</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">My oldest son grew up watching VeggieTales. He quickly became obsessed with Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber, and LarryBoy ("I am that hero!!"). We watched hours and hours and hours of Silly Songs with Larry and every VeggieTales episode ever created. So when we got a chance to check out the <a href="https://www.fishflix.com/">VeggieTales League of Incredible DVD</a> we were both pretty excited! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">This VeggieTale story is about handling things you are afraid of. There are several Super Heroes that make an appearance in this show when LarryBoy gets some help from his friends. You can find this <a href="https://www.fishflix.com/veggietales-league-of-incredible-vegetables-dvd-christian-movies.html">League of Incredible Vegetables DVD</a> on sale right now. You can also get a $5.00 coupon if you join the <a href="http://www.fishflix.com/5gift/">Fishflix</a> email list, or by texting 5-GIFT to 44222. This would make for some great deals for family friendly videos. Fishflix is a great source for the best and newest Christian movies and entertainment for the whole family. You don't have to worry about the content in the movies on their website which is a big sigh of relief for this mom!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">If you are looking for a great Father's Day book for your sports loving dad, this is the book to get him. Since it is the peak of the NBA Finals also, this is a great time to read this book. This not also includes lots of basketball history for the history buffs, it also tackles present day sporting issues with the game of basketball. Overall a great read for anyone interested in learning more about basketball and the players of the game, both past and present!!</span></div>

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">On any given day I can start to feel sorry for myself. My life, family, job, circumstances, the internet, basically just life in general can spin me into a tizzy very quickly. It can be something minor, or something big....and I can let it ruin my day very quickly. Then I drag others around me (most likely my boys or husband) down into the tizzy-ness that I'm in.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So after reading this book, I really have nothing (NOTHING) to complain about. Katherine Wolf suffered a brain stem stroke (she should not be alive right now) in her early 20s shortly after giving birth to her first son. This book starts at the beginning of how she met her husband and goes to the present. It has a happy ending because they give all the glory to God. She is alive for a purpose. His purpose. They have been able to speak hope into the lives of those that are feeling hopeless. What a journey they have been on. What a story they have to tell. I love that there is hope to cling to and that their hope is everlasting!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">"We know all too well that no single one of us knows what tomorrow holds or even what the night holds, for that matter. It is unnatural, against every animal instinct in us, to release ourselves into that reality; but God calls us there - to that place of surrender where He invites us to rest, secure in arms more capable and more loving than our own." ~<i>Hope</i> <i>Heals</i> pg. 231</span></div>

A lot may be the understatement of the year. In fact our washing machine and dryer are usually working every day of the week! With 3 boys, a husband, and myself we go through lots of clothing. Each of my kids play sports, we go to the gym often, and my husband works outside a lot when the weather is warmer. All of this equals tons and tons of laundry.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Sadly my three boys are getting older and don't like to read kid books as much as they used to. They enjoy chapter books and graphic novels way more these days. However I did talk them into reading <i>Baby Wren and the Great Gift! </i>They agreed that it would be great to pass on to their niece Harley who is one year old!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Baby Wren meets lots of animal friends who invite her to join them on their animal adventures. Baby Wren comes to the conclusion that she is unable to do all the things the other animals are able to do. All this is happening until Baby Wren finds out she is able to sing a beautiful song. This is something none of the other animals can do. Just like every creation has a special talent, this book encourages us to use it so others can enjoy it!!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This book contains a great life lesson that even a one year old adorable little girl can use. Baby Wren is an adorable character who teaches a great lesson!</span></div>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, serif; line-height: 20px;">If you are looking for an encouraging book on parenting, I highly recommend purchasing </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, serif; line-height: 20px;">this book. Korie Robertson and her mother have written a great book on character qualities </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, serif; line-height: 20px;">any parent would want their children to possess. There are nine specific traits included, </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, serif; line-height: 20px;">then there are ways to carry these out in parenting. As a mom of three boys, I know how</span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, serif; line-height: 20px;"> hard it can be to be a parent, but I am thankful for resources like this book. I hope I can do </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, serif; line-height: 20px;">as good a job raising my children as this book suggests!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, serif; line-height: 20px;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, serif; line-height: 20px;">This book would also make a great addition to a gift for parents-to-be (think baby shower gift or baby dedication gift!) or any parent looking for encouragement while in the midst of raising children!</span></div>
