Tough As They Come *Book Review*

If you are looking for an encouraging book about an American soldier who has overcome all the odds and is thriving today, this is the book for you!  Wow!  What an awesome story this is.  Faith, family, and love are the things most important to Travis Mills.  You can learn more about him and Tough As They Come here.  We are living is some changing times in America and around the world, but true heroes such as Travis Mills will never change.  People like him are what make me proud to be an American!

Journal Bible for Girls REVIEW

This is the cutest Bible specifically for girls that I have ever seen,  I love the turquoise color of the cover and the elastic band that keeps it closed (no more wrinkled or bent Bible pages!)  As a girl who went to church her entire life (~42 years), I wish this Bible was around when I was a youngster.  This specific Bible is the journal style which has become very popular.  Add a package of color pencils and it's a perfect gift for any girl!

Each page has a section on the side margin that is lined (like notebook paper) It is here you can draw, write, doodle, journal, or write prayers.  This is an awesome feature for anyone who wants to strengthen their relationship with their Heavenly Father.  The NIV version is a popular one at our church.  I cannot find a little girl to give this to!

*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my review.  Opinions are mine.*

All The Pretty Things book review

I have followed Edie's blog {Life in Grace} for many years.  I was very excited when she announced she would be writing a book.  It ended up taking much longer for her to write the book than she anticipated.  (I think she did a total of three re-writes)  I cannot imagine the struggle she went through with the words on these pages.  She is definitely an inspiration to anyone on a spiritual journey of their own.  Whether you are a new believer, a non-believer, or a believer since the day you were born, her words will resonate with you.

After being raised by a single mother and an alcoholic father (who was in and out of her life), she was determined to rise above her past.  Her hard work and determination paid off for her when she "mad doctor" like her daddy always said she would.  Her choices caused pain and worry for herself and her children.  Then when her home burned down, there was God with a whole new lesson for her to learn.  (I have vivid memories of my grandparents home burning down in the '80s...this is something I will never forget)  Her book is one to read again and again, then let a good friend borrow it (as long as she promises to give it back)
